No One Buys Books

An excellent article by Elle Griffin summarizing the nonfiction book, "The Trial" about the failed merger of Pengin and Simon and Shuster. (The end result was Simon and Shuster being bought up by a rapacious venture capitalist corporation that is in the process of pillaging it's assests, a much worse result than the merger would have been.) Anyway...the article provides a careful and detailed (albeit, depressing) analysis of the publishing industry. Worth a read if you haven't already seen links to it on social media.
